"A Muslim Market & Buddhist Taer Si"XINING (Qinghai). A long and culturally eventful day starting with a colorful market run by the Muslim Hui people followed by walk around the important Tibetan monastery of Taer Si. 

"A Pilgrimage Kora around Labuleng Monastery" XIAHE (Gansu). A memorable circle around the famous pilgrimage temple of Labuleng Si, one of Tibetan Buddhism's most active monastery complexes.  

"The Magao Grottos".  DUNHUANG (Gansu) The most impressive historical sight we visited in China.

"The Famous Kashgar Bazaar" and "The Crazier Hotan Bazaar"KASHGAR & HOTAN (Xinjiang). Colorful and chaotic Sunday markets in historical Silk Road towns, selling everything from silk to sickles.
